How long does it take to activate my account?

After we receive your order, your account will be setup in 24 hours or less, or your first month is FREE.  However, most accounts are setup within an hour.

Which plan should I choose?

If you are not sure which plan to choose, then chances are that you will only need the Solid Starter or the Solid Server.  These plans will fit the majority of websites that do not have any e-commerce or extra storage space needs.

If you plan on hosting some type of storage extensive website, such as a photo album or a video library, then you may need the extra storage space that comes with the Solid Performance plan.  You can upgrade your account at anytime, so if you don't need the storage right away, go with a smaller plan.

Our Solid Commerce plan is intended for those who plan on running an e-commerce application.  This plan includes your own dedicated IP address, which is a requirement to install your own SSL certificate.

Will I exceed my bandwidth allowance?

In most cases this will never happen to you.  It will take a lot of hits before your website exceeds the 5 GB limit on our Solid Starter plan.  We provide web traffic analyzers that you can use to watch the amount of traffic that your website is generating.

Can I customize a plan?

We have a add-ons available that you can use to customize your service.  However, if you need more storage space, then chances are  it will be cost-effective for you to upgrade to the next level of service.

Do you design web sites?

Not at this time.

Do I need a domain name before I signup for web hosting?

No, you do not need to have a domain name before signing up for hosting with us.  However, you will need a domain name. We can register one for you during the signup process.

Do you host international clients?

Yes, but what we can not do is register international ccTLDs such as .uk, .ca, etc.  We can host these domains, but you will need to register the domain name through the appropriate registrar.

Will I have access to raw log files?

All accounts allow you to access the raw Apache log files for your domains.  We also include the Webalizer statistics package.

Can I password protect files and directories?

Yes, we provide .htaccess password protection for public directories.

Do you provide secure shell (SSH) access?

Yes, but because of the security concerns that come with providing shell accounts, we require that our clients apply to have this feature enabled.  For more information, please read our SSH policy.

What kind of support do you offer?

Technical support is provided through our Help Desk.  The Help Desk is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  All tickets are guaranteed a 12 hour human response time, though we strive to respond within an hour.

All technical support tickets are handled by our systems administrators, so you can be assured that your issues will be dealt with by those who understand our servers the best.

Do you offer any Windows-based hosting?

Not at this time.

Do you support Microsoft FrontPage?

Yes.

Am I allowed to host pornographic (adult) material on my website?

Pornographic material is strictly prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy.  Hosting restricted content through your account is grounds for immediate termination or suspension.

Do you offer a money back guarantee?

We offer a 30-day Satisfaction Guarantee on all accounts that do not violate our Service Agreement or Acceptable Use Policy.  If you are not satisfied with our service at any time during your first 30 days, inform us and we will refund your money.

Do you offer any reseller plans?

Not at this time, but we are currently working on providing Reseller plans.

Can I access my account 24x7?
